Privacy policy

Gomi Sensei collects nothing about you. That is the policy. The rest of this page is only the proof.

No account

There is no sign up, no login, no email field, no password. The app does not know who you are and has no way of finding out.

No analytics, no ads

No tracking, no crash reporting, no advertising, no third party kits of any kind. Your data is not sold, because none of it is collected in the first place.

What the app remembers

The name you typed, your level, which words you have seen, what is sitting in your bin, your streak. All of it is written to storage on your own phone and it stays there. Delete the app and it goes too. "Start over" in Settings does the same thing whenever you like.

The one network request

Gomi Sensei can check whether a corrected word list exists. In the app you downloaded that check is switched off: it ships with no server address, so there is nothing for it to call. If a future build turns it on, it runs only when you tap it yourself on the You screen.

Even then it carries no identifier and nothing about your progress. It asks for a file of Japanese words and reads the answer. A server would see your IP address, the way every server sees every request from every app.

Nothing else is touched

No microphone, no camera, no location, no contacts, no photos. The voice you hear is recordings sitting inside the app, not a recording of you. A word with no clip is read out by your phone's own speech engine, which is between you and your operating system.

Nobody can reach you here

No messages, no comments, no profiles, no other people. The words you keep forgetting stay strictly between you and the bin.

The waitlist on this website

The app collects nothing. This website has exactly one form. If you type your address into it we store that address, the date, and the country the request came from, so that we can write to you once on the day the app is out. It is not sold, not shared, and not used for anything else. Ask and it is deleted.

If this changes

The date below changes with it, and this page is replaced.

Questions, complaints, corrections: tsumidaai@gmail.com. A person reads it. There is more on the support page, including how to delete everything, and the terms of use.

That was the entire policy. means garbage, and it still fits on one screen.
